Finally, Dates Announced for 46th World Series of Poker (WSOP)

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is considered one of the biggest poker events worldwide. In its 46th edition, this event is the longest-running and also the richest poker tournament, well, consisting of a series of tournaments actually. One of the much-awaited events in the poker community is the announcement of the dates of the particular year’s WSOP. The dates of this year’s event were finally announced: it kicks off at Las Vegas’ Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on 27th May, 2015. The final nine players at the event would meet on 14th July, 2015.

The WSOP schedule for this year is packed with action across all 49 days. There are satellites, gold bracelet events, cash games, deep stack tournaments that take place three times a day for the entire duration of the event. The finale of the WSOP is the Main Event championship, a No-Limit Hold’em gig with a $10,000 buy-in that kicks off on 5th July, 2015 and culminates with the crowning of the champion on 14th July, 2015.

This year’s WSOP will also feature the two most attended poker events in the 2014 edition, the Monster Stack and the Millionaire Maker. The 2015 edition of the WSOP will also feature a new event, a flagship event titled The Colossus that will take off on 29th May and go on through 30th May, 2015. This event features the lowest buy-in ($565) for a WSOP open event in 35 and comes with a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
