Players before the Main Event: Here's What Jay Farber Did!
The event itself consists of smaller poker tournaments, all culminating in a grand finale with the 'main event' at the final table, where one player emerges champion. Winners of each tournament get a World Series of Poker bracelet, and the winner of the final event also wins the grand cash prize. The initial number of thousands of players gets whittled down the final 9 at the final table.
While the World Series of Poker is about, well, poker, there are a lot of other things that players can do during the event.
