International Game Technology (IGT)
IGT was launched in 1981 and was involved in the design, development, manufacture, distribution and sales of gaming equipment. The company has developed with the imdustry since then and in 2005 they acquired the online casino software provider, WagerWorks which they incorporated into IGT Interactive in 2011.
IGT entered the mobile gaming market in 2008 when it acquired the UK-based mobile gaming company, Million-2-1. IGT made use of the Million-2-1 proprietary software to enter the market and it still uses this software today to power its casino games.
In 2010, all interactive gaming divisions of IGT were consolidated into IGT Interactive. They have offices around the world including in the UK, the US, China and Gibraltar.
In 2011, IGT acquired Entraction AB which allowed it to offer the complete gaming verticals set with online poker, online sportsbook, online bingo and live casino. IGT now offers multiple turnkey solutions for all areas of gaming and it continues to develop within the online casino industry.
